You have a telephone number with another carrier and would like to use it on your String account. This means that you need to port the number to String. There are a few things that we will need from you in order to make this happen.
- Your telephone number - We need to know the number that you wish to port.
- Letter of Authorization - Please complete and sign the blank String Letter of Authorization form that's attached to this article.
- Copy of Bill - Send us a copy of your telephone bill from your current carrier dated within the last 30 days. If your carrier doesn't provide you with a copy of bill, you can instead send us a screenshot of your online account that shows your name, telephone number, and account information.
- Account number and PIN - Your current carrier should be able to provide you with an account number and PIN code. We will need these in order to port your telephone number.
Once you've gathered this information, contact customer support and be sure to include your supporting documentation. We will initiate your porting request and keep you up to date during the process until complete and active on your account.
